"In our own time, in a world often alien and even hostile to faith, believing families are of primary importance as centers of living, radiant faith. For this reason the Second Vatican Council, using an ancient expression, calls the family the Ecclesia domestica. It is in the bosom of the family that parents are 'by word and example . . . the first heralds of the faith with regard to their children...Thus the home is the first school of Christian life." +CCC 1656, 1657
Have you been entrusted by God with raising children? Then you are the ecclesia domestica—the "domestic church." At St. Anselm, we can help you fulfill this special and critical commission through the Families Hand on Faith program in our Parish School of Religion. We invite your family to enroll in PSR for faith formation and sacramental preparation.
Our Parish School of Religion will transition to a new Families Hand On Faith model in 2026-27. Please save these dates as we finalize our 2026-27 calendar and detailed information.
Registration will be open online only from May 17, 2026, through July 31, 2026.
A mandatory family orientation will be held Sunday, August 30, 6:00 pm immediately following 5:00 pm Mass.
